After the DR, Will and I stopped into NYC for a few days to catch up on paperwork and enjoy the fall foliage (which I was in serious danger of missing altogether thanks to tropical climates).  We stopped into a few museums, including the Natural History Museum’s famous whale room, perhaps my favorite childhood haunt, with a life-size blue whale and dioramas of everything from coral reefs to elephant seals to the sardine run!  It was a very necessary breather before all the excitement of DEMA.
