Towards the middle of May I received a phone call from Sara Shoemaker Lind inviting me to come spend some time with her in San Francisco to get used to my new cameras. Flying into San Francisco I had my first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean in over a month and realized how much I had missed it. My time in San Francisco was spent testing camera housings, taking part in a shooting at night photo workshop with Aperture Academy, checking out the California Academy of Sciences and de Young Museum, and hanging out with past scholar Kerry Nickols at the Bodega Marine Lab. There was never a dull moment as we were constantly moving and shooting. I learned a lot about my cameras and housings and had a blast hanging out with Sara, her husband Kevin, and their dachshund Remy! I hope you enjoy the pictures!
