I’m here in Monterey, CA, volunteering with the National Marine Sanctuaries to help a bit with the SIMON online photo database, which is an incredible free service, and I encourage you to browse the volumes and volumes of incredible images that are available to anyone every day of the year.

I’ll be diving a little bit, but mostly taking stock of the database and identifying what’s missing (and going out and getting some of those shots!  So exciting!).  The venerable Chad King of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary will be my fearless leader for the next couple of weeks.  Stay tuned!
