First day of diving!  We were able to do three dives on the Gold Dredge today: all were done with the goal of familiarizing ourselves with the site and helping Jeff Bozanic to get some grab shots of the National Park Submerged Resources divers working on the Dredge.  I’m still getting used to diving on a rebreather – buoyancy issues abounded this morning, but by the third dive I felt like I was doing much better with it.

In the evening, Joe Hoyt gave Filip and I a mapping lesson.  It was extremely helpful and we’re both looking forward to doing some actual work on the site tomorrow!
