Hey folks, so remember how I was volunteering for the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary’s office back in December? I still am. I’m editing and uploading the images I took for NMS that week to the SIMoN website, which is an unbelievable resource if you don’t know about it already. Thanks largely to Chad King and Steve Lonhart of MBNMS, SIMoN has compiled an impressive database of high-resolution, exceptional digital photographs. AND they’re all there on the website, free for anyone to download. That’s pretty amazing. I think conservation communication in the form of photography is essential; SIMoN is doing us all a good turn by providing this image set to the public for free. Finally, you can check the National Marine Sanctuaries website if you’d like to find a sanctuary near you.
