I started a boat maintenance internship this week. It’s something I’ve been looking forward to immensely — I’ve wanted to learn how to work on engines ever since I realized that they constantly break down.
Niemiec Marine is a top-notch boat yard in New Bedford, MA, owned and operated by Martin Niemiec and his amazing work crew. They’re all tolerating me this week as I ask zillions of questions and take things apart that were working just fine before I got my hands on them (ahem! Like say, a certain pressure gauge. Sorry guys.).
I hope I don’t blow anything up! (although secretly, I think it would be cool to blow something up. Nothing big…just something small to go boom.). I’m not sure what the thing above is — a piston? Anyway, that’s what I’m here for.
