It’s been a while since the last time I posted anything, I’m sorry about that! Since my last post I have been busy busy while filling the last five to six weeks with training, training, and more training. Following my Northern California leg I headed back to Atlanta to swap out gear, rest up, and as it turned out get healthy again. After planning and packing, I flew down to Miami to meet Tom Mount of IANTD (International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers) to start my trimix training. Upon arriving in Miami I was instantly hit with a wave of heat and humidity that made me hope there would be long days underwater ahead of me. I spent two weeks with Tom learning the in’s and out’s of trimix diving and survival theory while going through lectures, tests, pools sessions, and open water dives. The days were long and packed full of information but I had a blast learning from one of the true legends diving. In the end, we didn’t have enough time to finish all of the dives but I left Miami with an Advanced Recreational Trimix certification and a new life long friend.
