Alrighty, so thanks to Aengus, our master website designer, the OWUSS Blog is up and running!  Rather than fabricating blog posts for the past two months, I thought I’d just post my journals from the OWUSS website.  From now on I’ll try to post regularly at least once a week to keep you updated during my travels!

Right now I’m packing all of my new gear up for my upcoming trip to South Africa!  Thanks to our sponsors, Aqua Lung and Fourth Element, I’m all geared up for some cold water diving down south.  I’ve got my bags stuffed full of scuba gear, but I managed to pack in my brand new Olympus PEN camera with its full underwater outfit, and the new 2010 Bluefin system from Light & Motion.  Thanks to Ryan Canon at Reef Photo & Video who donated an awesome Sony XR550V, I’ll be able to post tons of videos for your viewing enjoyment!

First I’m heading to Cape Town to work with Steve Benjamin at Animal Ocean.  Believe it or not, even though I’m leaving tomorrow my plans are still up in the air!  In any case, either 4 days or 14 days later I’ll be heading to Durban for the main event – the Sardine Run!  Of course I’ll give you a much more detailed explanation once I’m there, but for now you’ll just have to sit in suspense!  (A quick Google search will probably end the suspense).  My flight leaves just before midnight tomorrow (Saturday) and then it’s a quick 26 hour trip to Cape Town!  I’ll try to find a spot to connect to the internet while I’m waiting in Dubai so that you can get the full experience of traveling with me…
