Wobbegong sharks are no biggie

We went diving at Shelly’s Beach in Manly today.  Sydney diving is great!  We saw a big ‘ol grouper, and lots of bright amber kelp (kelp excites me, I’m a big fan), and about a gabillion wobbegong sharks…I was totally thrilled at my first one and pitched a fit underwater when I saw it.  Janet Clough, our benevolent hostess and guide, did not share my level of excitement.   As the dive progressed, I realized it was because they were fairly everywhere.   The photo is by Janet Clough of Manly Dive Center, an amazing operation and kind enough to sponsor me for the dive at Shelly’s.  Joining us as well was David Striker, local dive legend, who was thrilled to meet a genuine Phycologist.  I pointed out that I wasn’t a real Phycologist yet, but that didn’t seem to matter.
